After attending college on a theater arts scholarship, radio became my alternative to being a "starving actress"! As a single mom, eating and having a roof over our heads seemed more important than having a life on the stage and as doors opened, I found myself doing my performing behind a microphone instead of under those stage lights. It has been a good fit for me. With the exception of a brief six month stint in Atlanta, Georgia, I have spent my entire radio career right here in Sacramento. It is home...I love the Sacramento audience and in particular, our smooth jazz listeners. I was on the air on KSSJ the day it signed on many years ago. I have left twice to do other things for brief periods of time, but have always come back "home"....yes, 94-7 KSSJ Sacramento's Smooth Jazz is truly "home" to me and always draws me back. It's where I belong and hope to stay for a good, long time.
